'Garden'
Materials: Copper wire, glass, paper, plastic.
“After endless weeks of flooded fields and cold rainy days the need for bright flowers and sunshine to enliven me, was getting intense! One morning I found an old seed catalogue in the re-cycle bag, its pages crammed with floral beauties and an idea was sparked. Feverishly I snipped out a colourful pallet of paper petals and set about re-assembling them into a miniature stage.
‘Garden’ was on display at the Devon Guilds Summer Exhibition last year.

Then inspired by my own springtime favourites I created wearable wire buttonholes: violets, primroses, daffodils. Each colourful flower pin is individually knitted and hand finished to create a cheery little bloom …that NEVER needs watering!”
Flower pins on sale at
Devon Guild, Bovey Tracey. UK.
